The Sexual Assault Support Service, Townsville Region, is part of the North Queensland Combined Women’s Services Inc, which is locally known as The Women’s Centre. The Women’s Centre is centrally located in Townsville and can easily be accessed by public transport. You will find directions to The Women’s Centre here.
The Women’s Centre provides a FREE counselling and support service to all women who wish to access our services. Our counsellors are all tertiary qualified women.
Many women access The Women’s Centre for different reasons. This may include support for the impact of experiences of domestic and family violence and sexual assault, women’s health and wellbeing counselling, experiences of homelessness, financial difficulties, or to participate in groups and other centre activities and events.
North Queensland Combined Women’s Services Incorporated is funded by both State and Federal Government.
